2025 U12/Elementary Festival | Palmerston Curling Club

Palmerston Curling Club

Grade 8 Students are Welcome for 2025! All participants must be 13 or under as of December 31st, 2024.

All games will be played at either the Palmerston Arena or Palmerston Curling Club, which are located in the same building at 520 Cavan St. Palmerston ON N0G 2P0.

All players and all spectators will be directed to use the Arena for entrance and exit. The curling club doors will not be accessible.

Registration includes:

• One swag bag per player
• One souvenir sweater per player – sizing will be collected at a later date, and sweaters will be available for coaches to purchase in advance for $40 per person. (see notes for more details, including a sample photo!)
• Five tickets per team to the event banquet being held Thursday at lunch

All players are required to be listed before entry is finalized. Changes may be made up to the start of the competition.

ALL players MUST wear head protection while on the ice. This is the Curling Ontario standard and will be enforced for the duration of the event.

APPROVED HEAD PROTECTION INCLUDES:

Highly recommended *:

• CSA approved helmets for use on ice and/or snow (ex. hockey helmets, snowboarding helmets, full curling helmets)
• CSA approved helmets for skateboarding and/or equestrian activities.
  

Acceptable (but not preferred)*:

• Curling headgear (toques or ballcaps) with built in impact plate (tested to CSA standards) with chinstrap
• Bicycle helmets *With all headgear – chinstraps must be fastened properly when on ice

Not Acceptable:

• Halos/Headbands Curlers will not be permitted on the ice if they are not wearing at minimum “acceptable” headgear.
